The centre is coordinated by the Ankara University Cancer Research Institute and financed under the Competitive Sectors Programme, co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye.

Establishment of three biotechnology units within the university, from technical specification through to operational readiness. The infrastructure, instrument park and activities of the Life Sciences and Technologies Centre have since been restructured into the Boğaziçi University Center for Targeted Therapy Technologies (Boğaziçi CT3). Both assignments were delivered under the Competitive Sectors Programme of the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, financed within the framework of financial cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye.
